God wants to flood the Earth again. Satan is against it — not out of kindness, but because something doesn't add up.
A story about the oldest office politics in existence.

Description

A man was striding purposefully through the corridors of an enormous office. Striking. Dressed in a perfectly tailored and very expensive business suit. His polished shoes beat out a rhythm of energy and aggression.
The man was filled with fury, and it was impossible to miss. The emotions overflowing inside him radiated outward like an invisible force, filling every inch of space. Wherever their owner passed, lightning began to dance and a smell of something burning appeared.
The office workers, catching sight of him, fell silent and took up their work with exaggerated focus. An office that, a moment earlier, had been buzzing with laughter and conversation went completely quiet. Fear and anxiety took over the room.
The cause of all this change approached a door bearing a single word: “GOD.” Drawing a deep breath, he shoved the door open with his foot and stepped inside. The secretary seated in the vast reception area raised her eyebrows in disapproval and began her usual professional “he’s not seeing anyone today—”
The uninvited guest stopped for a second, glanced in her direction, and barked:
— Shut it!

The secretary instantly fell silent and sank into her chair, which was immediately surrounded by freshly wilted and dried-up flowers. The man made it to the door he was after, took one more breath, and burst inside with a torrent of uncontained energy.
The occupant of the office, seated behind an enormous desk in an equally enormous chair, looked up at his visitor with surprise and asked:
— What do you think you’re doing?

The visitor barked back:
— What do YOU think you’re doing?!!

The guest slapped a folder labeled “WATER-2” onto the desk and continued, now in a shout:
— What kind of idiotic project is this?! Well? My precious little God? My infinite Goodness?

“Goodness” irritably adjusted his fine curly hair and replied:
— What business is it of yours? The last project was carried out without your involvement. And we won’t be bothering your department with this one either. For a symbol of evil, you seem awfully worked up. Aren’t you supposed to be doing bad things in your own name, calling yourself Satan, and not giving a damn about anyone?
